Question [Answered] Procedure Entry Point

Here goes and if it's a bit long forgive me. I recently bought a new laptop with Vista installed and hated it. My computer guy did manage to get XP on it, but it does not run properly. I made the restore disks when I first got the computer and wish to revert back to Vista. When I install the first disk I get the message "The procedure entry point change message filter could not be located in the dynamic link library user 32dll", and it quits.

I have absolutely no idea what this means or how to go about restoring the computer to it's original state. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Default Re: Procedure Entry Point

Hi there and welcome to PCHF, you would need to contact your laptop manufacturer as they will have specific instructions on how to get Vista back onto the laptop.
