Do you have a Windows Vista CD? If so, boot from it and choose to "Repair your computer"

When I bought my laptop, it came with Vista Home Premium pre-installed... I only have the Toshiba recovery CD...

Yeah... I recently installed Java (R) SE Runtime Environment... Do you think this caused this mess?
