Hi i have just upgraded form windows xp pro to vista ultimate and I'm very happy with it, but there is just one problem there is no sound at all, There is no windows start up sound, no sound when i try to play a cd, no sound with anything i try to do. I know that it is not a hard wear problem because sound was fine when xp was installed, also i have went to device manager and it says device is working fine. There is no sound card just the one build into the motherboard and i have tried downloading the latest driver and it says i have the most up to date one. I have tried to use different speakers which i know are working and still no joy.

Can you post your system specs here please? Mainly motherboard and soundcard make and model number.

BIOS- PSVD2-MX ACPI BIOS revision 0601 08/04/2006

There is no external sound card just what ever is build into the motherboard,

I downloaded the audio driver that you posted and it worked the sound was working but after a day when i turned on the pc a message appeared saying that there is a problem with the audio driver and that i have to uninstall it. I done this and reinstalled it but same thing happened.

I have windows vista premium 64 bit installed would the drivers not be compatible with the 64 bit version?
