Exclamation Vista or DVD Problem ????
Hi there i recently started to notice some problems with my Laptop DVD (windows vista home premiun).
Well for example i bought Silverfall game (DVD) and tried to install it... DVD-ram started to make a lot of noise, and i cant instal it, but i can browse the CD.

I know that is not a DVD-ram(HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T10N) problem because it works with other cd´s or dvd´s.
I know as well that it isnt a problem with the game because i tried to instal in another laptop and works.

So i think that it is a problem with windows vista, because the only laptop that worked was one with windows XP, i tried in a other laptop with Vista and it did exacly the same thing.... And before upgrading to vista all DVD worked well.

This has happen with dvd-movies and some other dvd´s

Can anybody help me

Welcome to PCHF , if you click on the link supplied below this may help you with your question.

About half way down the page it will advise you to update your Windows Vista Physx Drivers, a link is on the page to take you to the driver page. From what I can gather Silverfall does not explicitly support Windows Vista.
