Question [Answered] PC Keeps Rebooting

Hi, my name's Leonardo, and I have been having a little problem with my computer....

My PC keeps rebooting everytime I am playing a game, doesn't matter what it is, it reboots....

I tried to search on the net for answers, they told me it's memory problem, but I bought new memory chips of 512mb each (1024mb in total), and didn't solve the problem. they told me to clean my PC cooler(i think this is the name of it in english), saying that could be overheating the pc, but when I checked the BIOS, the reader said that the temperature of the cooler was ok.... I don't know what I can do more, please help me!!!

Thanks for the help
Leonardo

Hello, and welcome to PCHF.

Click Start>Control Panel>System.

Click the Advanced tab.

Click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery.

Remove the tick from the box next to Automatically Restart under System Failure.

Click OK.

The next time you have a serious system failure rather than reboot, your PC should present you with a blue screen of death[!] with an error message.

By posting the error message the fault can be more easily determined and the remedy found.

it COULD still be a heat problem with the video card or something else like that, it could even be the cpu, just coz they are OK in the bios doesnt mean that its ok under load

This is the message I got, when checking the event log, this should mean anything??

Well, if you are playing a game, the cpu uses more power, therefore heating up more, same goes for the video card, also total spec would be great as we can rule out some possibilities

this may mean something but as it is not in english i can not be sure, but i believe that it is a memory error message, it can happen with unstable overclocks, faulty memory, or even bad memory timings which makes me wonder, could something in your system be screwing up? mobo maybe, with your full specs we can help more

EDIT: try reseting bios to default, see what it does
