no, but that's where the initial problem lies...it shouldn't be a problem at the moment, but it is

The reason it is a problem is because he is trying to get into the documents where they were origionally, and the reason people keep them there is so that they can just click on my documents and not go through my computer ect. so by moving the files to a different folder, and out of the hidden one, he removes this problem, and by adding it as the my docs folder, it is easy to access without having to go through mycomputer

So which is best option for me creating a seperate folder in xp c:\ drive where program files are and move everything from my documents there but there is another problem when i was in vista i did let me go to c:\ drive where program files are and it did let me go into program files without any problem but there is one folder created by limewire program "incomplete" when i try to access that i eneded up getting message access denied.

Do you think if i create my stuff folder or My docs in c:\my docs will vista let me go into to it?

Thanks for so many replies.

ohhhh, i know why you're getting errors on the oncoplete files, it because its what the name suggests, incomplete,

but yes if you creat a c:\my docs and set it to your my documents folder it will definately work, unless you are using some sort of file encryption or hiding the files

There are some hidden files in some of the folders in my documents some pictures and videos and hidden will that be a problem.

but yes if you creat a c:\my docs and set it to your my documents folder it will definately work, unless you are using some sort of file encryption or hiding the files

I think this the best option for me without changing permissions etc i'll do this for mean time and see if this works. Is this the only way to views all folders and files of xp using vista ?
