Default [Pending] Lost mouse!

I have just installed vista ultimate, i have a microsoft keyboard and mouse, they were working fine untill i restarted, now the mouse does not work, i have uninstalled and reinstalled the frivers, but still no joy! I am having to use an old rollerball mouse and it is killing me! Please help!

Assuming this is a USB mouse try using a different port, i have had problems before and this has fixed it.

its a microsoft optical mouse 2.0. I got a keyboard with it, and the keyboards still working fine!

So not wireless then?...

Hrmmm...I've never had my mouse stop in Vista...
I'd say plug it in, and see if Device Manager reports it as having a conflict.

Does it power up at all? (glow red? )

the optical bit is on and device manager says there are no conflicts!
