I bought two DIY computer kits each with its own copy of vista home prem oem system builders edition. When I got home and opened the OS package, I found one of the disc's damaged.Can I legally use the one good disc to install on both computers using there own product keys. MS wants $30.00 for a new disc plus shipping.

Will be best to do this install the good copy on both pc then do this to use the key of the broken copy this is legal

1. Click on the Start Button and key in command prompt so that it shows up on your start menu search list. Right click on the Command Prompt shortcut and select Run As Administrator.
2. At the administrator command prompt, type in "slmgr.vbs -ipk <insert your product key here>"
3. To activate windows after changing the key, run "slmgr.vbs -ato"
