Question [Resolved] Process startup order

I've noticed that when I boot up, the icons shown in the Notification Area could be initiated in a better order. Example...I have an email notification program, but it starts before the Network connect is established.

I've noticed that the Yahoo Messenger has an option under Preferences to "Stand by and wait until I connect to the Internet." Smart!

I'm wondering if I can, at least, set the order in which the processes are started. That way, I would start the Network connection before the Email notifier starts.

And, I would like to start the AV program before the Network connection comes up. There could be a window between when the Network comes up and when the AV process is online where I could be vulnerable.

Any ideas?

Mike Lin has a couple of very small/simple programs.

Startup monitor pops up whenever any app tries to set itself to run at startup-- many do this sneakily.

startup control panel allows you to quickly see/edit what will startup.

Thanks for the reply. What your program doesn't do (as far as I could see) and what I am looking to do is control the order in which startup programs start. I don't want to delete them. I can do that now. I want to sort them into a more efficient order.
