Default [Fixed] New Vista, New Problems

I just upgraded my XP-Pro to Vista Ultimate and all looks fab except for one or two little gripes! Typically they've moved stuff everywhere so one has to search out for new hidey holes... that I can handle. What is bugging me is that I cannot now Sync my two HP iPaqs. This was done in XP with the ActiveSync utility, Vista ships, apparently, with its own Sync. I have been abysmally unsuccessful in finding a way to Sync Outlook 2007 to my ipaqs which run windows 2003 second edition for pocket pc. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi Nodule,

First thing I'd suggest is to goto PC Help Forum - Computer Tech Support and download a new version of Active SYNC.

I can sync my iPaq at work, and i'm running Vista with Office 2007. But i don't use the inbuilt sync functions.

Ah Ha! Active sync for Vista is now shipped as 'Windows Mobile Device Centre', following the link you gave was the most help I've had yet... there was still some small amount of legwork but from there on in was easy!!! thanks a whole bunch! I really want to like vista and this has gone a whole long way to getting it there!

Great news

I would have given you a direct link to the file, but unfortunately most of my time on the site is while I'm at work so I don't have alot of time to spend on posts...

If there's anything else, let me know

Marked as Fixed.
