Windows Vista - Error when changing resolution posted in the Operating Systems forums; Hmm.. I'm getting this prompt all of a sudden when i try to change my display (Desktop resolution, theme, etc.)...

Hi, Zom13ie,

Welcome to PCHF,

I've moved your post to a new thread as the nature of the problem looks very different and it appears to me that you're using Windows Vista.

If you're simply using a theme on XP let me know and I'll move the thread back to the XP forum. Knowing which OS you are using for sure will also help us troubleshoot the problem a little better.

You may want to open your start menu and in the "RUN" dialog type "sfc /scannow" and hit enter.

If you have the disk for windows make sure it's inserted before you type the command in. If you don't have the disk, try it anyway since it will usually be set to locate the proper file.
