Ok heres the first of many many problems (solved a doz so far) I`m having with this wonderful os.I installed a upgrade to vista to enhance my pc capabiliteis and knowlage and it sure is giving me a workout.After startup and screensaver shows up and while toolbar is being loaded on the bottom some times it freezes my screen all colored distortred lines,,,,almost like it scrambled my screensaver....Nothing will recover the situation and I have to restart manually.It only does this on a cold start in the morning and after reboot it works fine.Is this a time problem???? or driver please help.

Howdy bdtrout.. Sounds to me like a graphic card issue. Like its overheating or just plain does not like vista.. What type of video card do you have? And did you install the newest Vista release of the video driver?

Its nvidea graphics and has been changed and updated while still running xp on this machine,It had issues when I tried to install corel draw and painter a few months back, and I just found another driver I installed today.So we will see how it works now.I am running some serious graphic programs on this machine and would like to install cs2, but I might consider dropping a card in,,,any suggestions on a decent card ?? I`m running a 3 month old hp1600 250 gig 500 gig external with4 gig ram.

That all depends on your pocket book.. The 8800 gtx has the 768 meg DD4 in it..And my what a card it is. But you might drop 400 bucks to 500 bucks on it..
