Default MP4 files make Vista crash

Hello,

I have a major problem when dealing wiht MP4 files from my camera. When I transfer them to Vista, Open them in Vista even Rename then! Vista somewhat crashes, it slows down and I need to restart as programs don't run anymore.

All other video files work perfectly fine, and the computer is a brand new dell desktop.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Thanks

Jonny

What happens if you open them in a program such as VLC media player?

Thanks

That is actually what i'm using. Its not a problem with playing them, its anything. When I copy paste more than 1 mp4 file, it just crashes Vista. I even tried renaming a few, and the first few work but then same problem. Just works at 10% usual speed if not less.

Its very strange indeed.
