Exclamation Corrupt files in Media Center

Hey I used to have Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, but upgraded to Vista Home Premium the day of release (which I'm in love with). The day I upgraded, my television shows I so love recorded as always and I later watched them. However, on Wednesday & Thursday I ran into some problems. When I went to play the shows, it said that the files were corrupt and couldn't play, then deleted themselves. Some of the shows were OK and some were corrupt. The corrupt ones all happened to be from Fox, don't know if that is relevant.

I have two shows on at the same time tonight, and am therefore forced to depend upon one recording accurately.

Any idea what is causing some of the shows to be corrupt all of a sudden and how I can possibly fix this?

I have the Angel II Dual TV Tuner. My first though was that it was a driver problem, but upon going to the tv tuner's website (Lumanate), i found " Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit drivers are included with the Windows Vista installation." So there goes that idea

The genius lady at Dell tech support told me just to restore my system to how it was before I installed Vista... cuz you know that won't cause any problems or any lost files... :-p
