Agreed Arctos...

All AMD CPU's have been 64bit for around a year now...since sempron and dual cores came out.
All Opterons and Xeons have it. You are correct - Core2Duo is 64bit technology.

As long as the motherboard can support the 64bit CPU then you can install it and a 64bit operating system....i've been running x64 for well over a year now...it provides for a more stable OS on a 64bit hardware setup - and more memory support.

There goes my plans for buying the 64 bit version then >.<.

Just found out my CPU doesn't support 64bit, so now ive decided i'll try and sell it, and use that money to buy another pentium 4 WITH 64 bit technology....but the problem is, i have no idea how much i could sell my current CPU for!! XD

I just recently made a new thread, so if any of you CPU know-it-all's read this, please please navigate your way over to there and give me some advice!:
