You have the computer for it, I don't see why not. Make sure that you install a Release Candidate to make sure that you really want to spend the money on it.
You do have a 2.4 Ghz processor, that could be the low side of it.

well the Intel Core 2 Duo with a 2.4 GHz was the higher end of what I could find available. Anything faster than that was obscenely expensive. The processor and the whole computer works wonderfully with the release candidate.

I can guarantee that Vista is far more than "a bunch of slick graphics"! I am running the RTM (had the Beta's and RC's) and believe me..people WILL want this.

Right... just like they wanted oblivion. Theyll all flock to it and realize, in the end, that they wasted their money.

I havent used vista. I dont know much about it. I do know microsoft though. With all the hype you give it if you think its gonna work out of the box you need your head examined. An OS that demanding is going to have some serious issues once you start popping some games on it. You mix all the demanding functions that take away from your PCs power and... I honestly say youre foolish for buying into it.

Maybe next year. I think you guys need to hop off the wagon.
