I have been dual booting Vista for about a week now and I am less impressed with it every time I use it. Not because it has errors, but rather it's layout in general. The new start menu has no flyout menus unless you use the Classic version, the window appearance is not cool, just little things like that. Obviously I can't justify spending $200 for somthing that XP will do just as well at.

Are you guys using RC1, RC2 or Final version?

Also if you close explorer then play a game it goes faster?

tractordriver - the no flyouts is a good thing - it uses less of the screen, which is a plus...menus are more manageable.

It will take a bit of getting used to. If you remember windows 95, that used to have "fly out" menu's, but only 1 level...it used to scroll up and down when you had too many programs installed - the good old days

otester - closing explorer with your computer will not help with much performance - you've got enough memory to handle almost anything.
