Well I have been tinkering around with Vista Beta2. I orderd the dvd (dont trust the download)

I know I know I siad I wouldnt but I had to,

Has anyone been able to load there vpu drivers yet?

@Hengis..I see you have an ATI card as well. Also how much of your cpu cycles does it take up? I have a 4200+X2 dual core cpu and it is constantly taking at least 15% of my first core power away. But then again I have Ario all pumped up.

Any firewall for Vista yet as well?

The CPU runs constantly at first but I finally put that down to the huge indexing of the drives that takes place when you first install Vista. It took 24 hours straight to do my 250gb drive!! After that things calmed down and I was able to play BF2 without any trouble.

I am not really using Beta2 much at the moment though as there are a few minor (but really annoying) bugs that stop me from working "fluidly". I will be getting the Pre-release candidate soon so I'll nuke the partition and start again.

As for firewalls, I use a hardware one but I believe this is compatible (along with one other...Trend Micros PC Cillin). Look 'n' Stop - Personal Firewall - Internet Security - Safety - Protection

Thanks Hengis.. I also use my hardware firewall but I always like a little backup insurance policy. routers go down as well.

Ive been doing the same. Ive never let it run for 24 hours straight I forgot about the indexing. Ive been playing around with it trying to get some reg hacks in there lol.
