Well that depends.. i have 1.8GHZ processor, 256mb RAM, 128mb Radeon 9600. Its alot about RAM. Youre gonna need at least 1GB to run with Aero all ramped up, full visual effects and whatnot. I run it OK, with all visual extras turned OFF, its still a little sluggish. Yes it does come with IE7. The good news is that you can dual boot it with XP (as long as you have the 10 gigabytes extra HDD space for the Vista install, yes 10GB). Its what i do, so that if i need to i can fall back on XP, while testing Vista.

Personally I wouldn't upgrade your installation to Vista at the moment! Always perform a clean install on a seperate hard drive or partition...and yes, your PC should be ok for Vista.

Default for why not?

can you give me a little info to as why i shouldnt? Is it missing some important things. Is it slow? I see drivers for all my hardware except for my mobo but that could be the getter i guess..

If you think my xp-pro is better, i will stick with my pro then. I am curious as to what kinna problems people are haveing with Vista and with simular hardware to mine.
