Default offline email program with Windows 7 ????

Hi all, i shall try and make this short.
i had XP and used Outlook Express with great success
I had Vista and used Windows Mail and got used to it !, didnt like Vista !.
I now have Windows 7 and now find i cant access my old emails, i have to use Windows Live mail, i dont like it at all.
I would like to have an email program which i can use off line, i use my lap top at work, where i dont have internet access, to read and organise all my emails and prepare replies for sending when i get home.

have i missed something ?, why isnt a decent OFFLINE email program available in this wonderful operating system.

and how can i look at my old emails, the Folder is still there which they were in when i had Vista, but i cant look at them.

tim

Hey there, Timmy!

Outlook provides excellent off-line e-mail support. Eudora also provides true e-mail client options including off-line support.

I"m sure there are others.......

Hi timmy.

You can use Windows Live Mail offline.

It takes a bit of configuring but you can make it look and work much like Windows Mail in Vista.

Have you tried the import messages wizard? Click File>Import to start it.

Timmy,

This is a bit dated, but appears to be the blog entries from the Windows Live development teams. There is mention here of off-line Live access. You might be able to pull the information you require from that doc.

Hi Buddy, I do have access to Outlook, I do believe that will be the answer.

Personally i dont want to use an Email program that doesnt (or can't) let you store your personal emails on your hard drive !!, alternatively, i feel sure that using Windows Live Mail, it has a limit on capacity of the web space you have to store your emails.

Thanks.

I think Outlook is a good choice! It's what I use on all of my systems
