Angry Folder Not Responding! :(

Please can someone help????

I have a folder on my PC which I have been keeping all the little movie clips from my phone and camera of my baby. This morning I was trying to organise the files better by renaming them according to the date taken e.g. 20th November 2008 etc...

Obviously in some instances there were more than one clip for each date so I was just allowing the prompts from my pc to name it '20th November 2008 (2) etc...

This prompt didn't appear to work at one point and the whole thing just froze up and crashed. Now when I attempt to look at this folder again it just says 'not responding' straight away, I cannot look at properties and the icon just shows blanks whereas before it showed pics from the contents!

I have restarted countless times but it now seems to be permanently corrupt!!!

I really hope someone can help as I would hate to lose all these memories forever ( no back-up ) .......

Hello CTRALTDEL

Welcome to PC Help Forum

Are the items still on the phone and camera SD cards?

Ok what operating system are you using?

Have you tried to do a system restore point to before it went pear shaped?
