Try Eraser, KillDisk, or something along those lines and wipe all data off the drive.

Thank you Cobra, you saved my flash drive. I used KillDisk to completely wipe the drive (surprisingly, that took about 30 minutes), but Windows still could not read the drive. Luckily, I was able to format the drive with the Windows format program after using KillDisk, and now the drive works.

I was reading the Windows 7 EULA and found some interesting information that might mean game over for me (if I were to use Windows 7 for the installation on the USB stick). First of all, it states "A computer is a physical hardware system with an internal storage device capable of running the software" (Windows 7 Ultimate EULA 1B). I could make the USB drive capable of running the software, but is it an internal storage device?; no. The EULA also states "Unless otherwise provided in these license terms, you may not use the software on any other computer" (Windows 7 Ultimate EULA 2B). This brings up questions, because the software is on the same hard drive, but is being used with different components. But, if a USB drive is not an internal storage device, than it should not have been installed in the first place and thus 2B would not matter, legally of course. If it were legal to install on a USB, then using the USB drive on another computer would still be illegal; and what would be the point of installing on a USB drive if I can't use it on different computers? Can someone please find out a way to make this legal, because this really depresses me.

Then I'm afraid you must remain depressed GS.

You yourself have admitted it is illegal by your varying arguments and you speak of moot points that are no longer valid.

I think it has been ascertained that your reasoning holds no water so it is fruitless to continue this debate.
