Default Another Win 7 RC reboot deal

I kinda' sorta' have (HAD) a similar problem to WDriesen's ( http://www.pchelpforum.com/windows-v...tml#post425578 ) from the standpoint of random reboots. The difference is that my problem began right after installing the October updates last week. I performed a System Restore but this accomplished nothing.

I was dual booting Win 7 RC & XP Pro and had no reboot issue when running XP. I just threw in the towel and uninstalled 7 RC. Voila'!

If you can pinpoint which update caused your problem, you should let Microsoft know, maybe you're not alone and this is avoidable?

LOL. I don't really care exactly which particular update it was. Just that it was one of the October batch I got on Microsoft Tuesday. I dealt with ~12 hours of reboots/shutdowns and 'booted' the O/S. Get it, booted the O/S? Up until that point 7 RC had run fine.

None of the Win 7 RC help sites had any useable info because the issue just came up, dig? I did a few emails but have yet to receive a response. No big deal. I'll either reinstall the 64-bit version I had or give the 32-bit flavor a shot.

Believe me, if this was a paid version I'd be pounding on somebody's virtual desk. No harm, no foul.

I installed and am running the Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit version on a new build and I must say I'm happy with it so far.

I did all the windows updates and have not had any reboot issues.
