The fans are spinning, yes. I made sure of that when I had problem with connecting my graphics card. The case also does not heat up during use.

Another problem I've encountered that I forgot to mention is that it will freeze. The noises from inside the case cut to just the noise of the fans, and the screen locks up completely. I'm starting to think about completely re-installing Windows if this keeps going on.

Also, I'm using a Windows 7RC only build, while I wait for my Windows 7 HP to come in.

Another possible problem:

My dad (not a computer expert, but a mechanic) thinks that it may be that my CPU heat-sink/fan is not properly attached to the CPU, which is causing the CPU to heat up, causing it to shut down. He thinks that I need to thermal-glue the CPU to the fan. Is there any merit to this idea?(I'm thinking he's maybe right)

When I assembled my build, the manual for my processor (Intel i5 750) didn't say anything specific about thermal glue, but I was pretty sure that I had the fan on correctly, though.

You better put some thermal paste on that cpu pretty sharpish before the whole lot goes pear shaped.

DEFINITELY get thermal paste on there ASAP. You're lucky you haven't killed your CPU already in my opinion. That all sounds like overheating problems - so give that a shot. I've seen quite a few people lately with Core i5s who are claiming they didn't recieve thermal paste with their CPU, and Intel made no mention of having to use it. I can't imagine what's going on here, but I hope someone didn't miss a step in the packing department at Intel... (ps .. my Core i7 came with thermal goo ...?)

As for the Wave keyboard drivers - I'm using the same keyboard on Windows 7 RC x64, and I've had no issues. The newer version of the logitech driver shouldn't give you the incompatibility message, but it's safe to ignore it if it does anyway.

edit - Wait, Intel heatsinks are usually pre-pasted with grey goo from the factory. Maybe that's why it didn't come with extra? When you take off your heatsink, make sure there's not already some goo on there.
