my c: drive that vista pro is installed is getting old and a bit small, so i purchased a new 1TB SATA drive and installed a fresh install of vista pro on it. When i reboot, vista (bootmanager) gives me the option which OS to load - thats ok, just annoying.
I unplugged the c: drive, rebooted to the vista DVD, ran repair on the new drive - and vista gave the error it could not repair, so bootmgr i suspect still lives on the c: drive. I tried a few times, but no luck. I have to keep that HDD plugged in!
My drive structure now looks like this (all NTFS)
c: healthy (System, Active, Primary Partition)
j: healthy (Boot, Page File, Active, Crash Dump, Primary Partition)
Any ideas on how to get the j: drive my OS drive!!
