Pending: vmware problems need help fast?????

hi i am trying to install mac osx 10.5.7 (it is patched), and get the following message.

kernel panic, in real time this would equate to a reset of the processor what can i do it wont let me install it and i know it can be done because i had 10.4.8
before hand plz help i want to develop iphone applications thanks.
