I'm open to anything.

Just a thought - take a screen shot of the files & their file sizes & dates in PaintShop Pro's folder after a fresh install, you know while it still works

Then do the same after it fails. We can compare file sizes & dates to figure out what has changed.

Okay so I did the screen shots and I can't see a difference...
But something new happened when I had installed the paintshop program, when It had finished, a box came up and it said:

Could not initialize installation c:\users\simone\appdata\local\temp\psw_preloaded.e xe
the specified file was not found

This folder Temp had come up before, when I scanned with CCleaner a while ago, a box came up with this text:

Install the file or folder referenced in:
C:\users\simone\appdata\local\temp\corel\CEF7884E-EDCB-40EA-9A9F-7449AF89D4F7\languages\sv\pcuui\images\trialcounte r\ Could not be found. These references are often left behind by uninstalled software. Solution: Delete registry value

Could this have anything to do with it not working?

Possible, yes.

I've often used CCleaner to clear my system's registry of old & out-dated registry entries. I don't often refer members this direction though as a mucked registry can create a situation where you have to format.

In this case though, I think a run through of the CCleaner Registry Fix isn't a bad idea. 2 things though - Please create a new System Restore point BEFORE running CCleaner AND also save when prompted by CCleaner as both of those will give you "recovery" points.

I'm really sorry it took so long for me to reply, but I've been really busy!

So you want me to do a run through of the CCleaner Registry Fix?
I've done that a million times, it never really changes anything, but I'm not sure that the CCleaner I'm using is called Registry Fix =/

Sure, it's worth another shot. In the meantime, I'll try to find a removal/clean up tool for Paintshop Pro.
