Question Comodo Firewall and dwmapi.dll

Hi all,
This is my first post on here having just signed up.
My PC magazine recommended using the free Comodo Firewall Professional (www.personalfirewall.comodo.com) so I downloaded and installed it today.
It makes it clear that it may pop up warnings quite frequently until it learns what is safe and not in your particular setup and needs, so I am not unduly worried about the following but thought it worth checking on here before allowing it.

It is querying something called dwmapi.dll which was requested by Windows Media Player. Is this safe, or not, please.
Cheers,

Alex.

Hello and welcome to PCHF
dwnapi.dll is required for programs to run properly so allow your firewall to run it

You could also try out a free firewall called ZoneAlarm

Hope this helps.

Hello and welcome to PCHelpForum.

dwmapi.dll

Window Manager API You can allow it.

Zone alarm has known issues with a update install.

ZA is pretty awful, esp. newer releases. Stick with Comodo.
