Improve you reboot time:

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Shutdown and double click on the FastReboot key (type: REG_SZ) and edit the value from 0 to 1

I got a nifty regtweak that isn't so much a performance tweak, but can change the word 'Start' among many other things in your start menu...I have my 'Control Panel' called 'Cockpit' and 'Shut Down' labeled 'IT BURNS US!!'

Instead of Start - I have SAY MY NAME!!

Let me know if you want me to post that one...it involves chaning the resource file 'explorer.exe'.

Are you sure you are starting with HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE? It really should be there.

Here's just a little nibble to be going on with to change the name on the re-cycle bin to what ever you want:
Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Explorer\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
Right click on Default and choose a new name.
Reboot and voila.
