Have a look on blackvipers "services411" page , it explains what each service does:

Here's a good one for your IE error notices

I am so tired of the default IE error screens. Point to your own unique error screens to totally customize your system!

Directions
I love to hack and customize my system. Here's how to do this on your system.

This involves editing your registry. If you don't know how... then don't play.

Each of these error message are html code hidden with windows system files; however, by editing the registry you can just point this to any html file on your computer. Spyware programs take advantage of this all the time to change your error screens... do it yourself!

To view any of these error files, just type this code into your IE Address textbox:

Default blank page

about:blank

No Page to Display error

about:navigationfailure

Action Canceled error

about:navigationcanceled

Warning Page has Expired error

aboutostNotCached

Web Page unavailable offline

about:OfflineInformation

To edit these error files:

1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Enter regedit.exe
4. In the registry editor goto the following location:

HKEY_LOCAL_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\AboutURLs

5. Double click on the one your wish to edit
6. In the value data point the page to an html document on your computer in the following format:

file://c:/error_page.html

- error_page.html can be any html document

7. Close regedit and view the page in question using the IE codes described above.
