Default Sharing Desktops

Real quick question I hope someone can answer for me. We just recently purchased a Windows 2008 webserver from Server Intellect. We know how to remote access and basic admin the box. What I want to be able to do is set up two monitors set to drag and drop files back and forth from the server to my desktop and vice verse. I know how to ftp files back and forth but I want something much simpler. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi smashngrab - Welcome to PCHF!

You can do this through Remote Desktop. You need map your pc's c: drive as a network drive in a RDP session - then you can just have 2 explorer windows open in remote desktop and drop and drag files between the 2.

To do this - connect to the server from the pc via rdp. Map network drive as per example below:
\\192.168.1.5\c$
Just make sure you type the PC's IP Address.

You can now open 2 explorer windows and drop and drag files between the 2.

You can also copy and paste over RDP although it can be incredibly slow: see here under copy and paste The Features of the Remote Desktop Client in Windows XP
