I have a mapped network drive on a Win2003 Server that stores student data. The student workstations are running XP. I was able to get it working on some machines using the Administrator account and when I log on the same workstation with a limited account for students, it works. On other machines, I do the same thing and the mapped drives are not visible from the limited accounts. I log onto the same machine with the Administrator account and it works. I log back on with the limited account (same machine) and the mapped drive is not visible.

Hello papamikeswift, welcome to PCHF.

The problem you having is that the mapped drives should only be mapped from the accounts you want to map them on. Each account should have it's own drive mappings. You'll find the same problem when installing printers. There's nothing to stop you mapping network drives from the limited account.
