OK so I have set up XP Pro and enabled remote connection on the system panel. I have allocated which users I want to be able connect. I have also had a static IP set up for the factory which feeds into by BT Intelligent Gateway. What address do I type from my hope to get to the login screen on the factory computer? Obviously 'http:\\myipaddress" but is that followed by any forward slash address or colon then the port number?

Thanks again guys, looks like I am getting there slowly!

Cheers
James

Hi James, goto Start -> Run -> mstsc -> type in your ip address here.
That should get you to the logon screen

mstsc = Microsoft Terminal Services Client (also known as Remote Desktop Client).
