iv only had time to try the unistallin idea wich ddnt work. ill try usin regedit wen i get home =]. if it stil doesnt wrk ill copy everythin to another h'drive an setup a new system

=s i tried to find the key in regedit both manualy and usin the find option. niether i or the computer cud find it. i got as far as the updates folder but couldnt find "Upda teExeVolatile" that within updates

Can you try to manually add this key in the same location.

- Right click on the right hand pane and select New
- Select DWord Value
- Name should be UpdateExeVolatile

Reboot, and then see if the problem returns?

w00t. i can install disc 2...but...i dont need to -.- it says its alredy installed even though it sed it was goin to b uninstalled through the repiar also i know hv to find wots causes my system to lagg an mess me about. i think i kno wot it is an i cant fix it so easily....its a dll that im missin. its my main graphix driver...cos it wasnt ther i got a blue screen while watchin a movie =[. i cant understand how i had the driver b4 the repiar though. if its so hard to get hold of then how did i get it in the 1st place =s ....overall my pc=crud hehe but anyway ty. even if i dont need to install w2k3 disc 2 i can now do other installations if needed
