Is it generally OK to use an Exchange Server (2003) as an FTP Server if you are only going to use the FTP Service on rare occasions?

I'm currently investigating the possible options/issues here and I have raised the question with some MS guru's so as we can give you as best answer as possible.

Thanks for your patience on this one I have some feed back for you:

"Security is the reason not to do it, and you can't possibly enable FTP, use it, & then disable it faster than some hijacked computer on the Internet can start trying to attack you. I wouldn't do it if it were me. If you have an external web hosting account, they probably offer FTP services as well....you might check that out as an alternative."
