Default [Answered] Accessing XP thought win2003 without typing in username and password

I have got PC with win2003 server and another with windows XP Professional , I can access windows XP form windows 2003 through ?My Network Places?,,,I have to enter the username and password for windows XP (for XP?s administrator) to be able to access the shared folder.

Now If I shut down windows 2003 and I open it aging, I still be able to access windows XP without typing in username and password.

Some time (not all the times) after two days I still able to access XP without entering username and password,,,Why does this happen ?

Hi zillah

sorry for the lack of reponse to your question.

Your most likely not running Windows 2003 server like it should be - it should be setup for a Domain and the XP machine joined to the Domain.

This is basically the most bullet proof network setup that Microsoft have ever released.

For you to be having this error indicates that is hasn't been setup correctly.
If you would like a hand setting it up properly, I am more then willing to. Until then, i will mark this thread as 'Answered'
