ok so i got my laptop into work,they run windows server 2003 here.So i plugged an ethernet cable in to get internet access. Was gonna play a bit of WOW but it won't connect,and there is a game called Runescape which I play when bored. But it won't let me connect to them, just wanna play in my dinner time on my laptop. I'm on the correct Proxy settings. I just wondered is there a way around the server to get connection. I'm not logged onto my work account,just my normal laptop.
Any help would be appreciated

does any internet connection work at all?

I think this is because the ports required are blocked. Have you not asked the network administrator?

yes the internet connection is fine,pretty fast to be fair. Could the admin unluck the ports for just this internet socket or would it mean he would have to unlock for everyone,which couldn't happen or everyone would be on everything.

any other ideas??

Im not sure what your administrator is capable of or can do. It would be best to ask the administrator
