Default [Answered] FREAKING OUT please help me recover data

guys please please help me
2 of the three hard disks crashed and started glowing orange and the server started beeping
i wouldn't care so much but i was in the middle of the backup, had deleted all the old stuff and the new backup failed during the crash
i shut everything down to let it and me cool off
so I have no backup on media, and it wont let me reboot the server
it says
1 logical drive found on host adaptor
1 logical drive failure
1 logical drive handled by BIOS
please help me, im freaking out as its 2 years worth of work
Im so stupid on things like this and there is no hardware or software support, they just brought everything new and expect me to handle it as I am the general office girl as they are too cheap to pay a professional

Hello Helplessmaiden,

Do you know how the disks are configured? Do you know if they use RAID at all?

If your not using RAID 1 (mirrored disks), and you have no backup of your data, you'll be unlikely to be able to retrieve that data since one of your disks have failed. Your only hope is to send that disk to a data recovery company such as Rapid Data Recovery

I've just been told that I am not allowed to send the hard drives to an external company.

Then they are not facing reality--
if that HD got hot enough to "glow red"-- the bearings are gone. You cannot acess data on a hd platter that won't spin... not even with laboratory equipment... as far as I know.
There is a desperation trick I know of that involves putting the drive in a freezer-- in the very faint hope that the platters could be accessed one more time-- for long enough to recover critical files.
--for a company depending on that drive for business purposes-- it would require a miracle for it to work.
