You would need atleast to install the chipset and graphics drivers.

To see wich of the 3 graphic drivers they list you need you can use this app:

http://www.pchelpforum.com/your-pc-d...stem-spec.html

And you'd probably also want to install the mouse/keyboard, USB, and network drivers.

ive never installed any kind of drivers before...its asking where to unpack the files....? will all drivers be unpacked or installed in the same place? is there a website that can instruct me on how to install drivers of any kind. sorry im really new at this... when i reinstalled the windows 2000 pro how did it not install the drivers too...did i install it wrong or what? im confused. by the way that is the first time i reinstalled an OS. i got the instructions from a website step for step. i am also trying really hard to use the internet on the other pc so that i can d/l these drivers in between IE crashes. i dont know any other way to do it

That ok, you didn't do anything wrong. It is normal that drivers have to be installed after installing windows.

Just create a temp folder to unpack them in, then after unpacking go to that folder and click on Setup.exe to install them.

You can delete the temp folder with the unpacked files after installation.

i tried doing what u said but i dont think its working. i made a folder called drivers. i d/led 5 files from that hp site u gave me. then i went to that folder, clicked on the first file (they all look alike) and unpacked into the temp folder. then i clicked on the next file in the driver folder and tried to unpack it into the temp folder, but it was saying there is a file already named this, do u want to overwrite. i dont know what to do now....this is so confusing. u make it sound so easy.

You would have to create a separete folder for each, or only unpack one and install it, then delete the unpacked files and then unpack the next driver.
