Default [Answered] Veritas + Dell Power Vault

I'm running a Dell PowerEdge Server with Server 2003 and Veritas as the backup software. There's an internal DLT VS160 tape drive that I use for the tape backups and the problem I'm having is I recently attached a Dell PowerVault server for more storage and now for some reason tape drive is showing as offline in Veritas. I have tried restarting the server and driver updates and can't seem to get the tape drive online. So far the PowerVault has just been attached to the SCSI controller and Server recognizes the disks in disk management, I haven't configured any of the disks yet and just wondering if this is a result of adding the the PowerVault server. Please help I don't know Veritas very well. Thx.

Hi mrkymrk, i do hope that you have resolved this issue since you posted it - as that would be an extremely long time without a successful backup being ran.

The first thing to check would be to make sure that the username and password that Veritas uses is still correct - if you change it in AD it will not change in Veritas automatically.

I apologise that it has taken someone so long to reply, but if you need any further assitance - please don't hesitate to contact myself on server side issues.
Marked as Answered until further notice.
