I'm really trying to get my old desktop running gain, but I seem to have gotten super stuck. It was purchased new and I do have most all of the software and manuals. But its been used and parts have been removed and/or changed. It powers up but then I hear 3 fast beeps and I'm unable to get it to input the monitor. So I get no display. I know I can get this machine operating again, but I could really use some input !! Thx in advance, I appreciate any responses.

3 beeps = Base 64K memory failure.
Try reseating the memory, if the error still occurs, replace the memory. Sourced from here...

Check memory modules
1. Turn off computer and unplug power cord. 2. Disconnect everything except the monitor and keyboard. 3. Place computer on a stable work area with case cover facing up. 4. Remove cover. 5. Find memory module(s). 6. To reseat memory in each slot, place thumbs on either side of module, and press module down until retaining clips fully lock into place. 7. Reconnect power cord, then press power button. 8. If computer begins to start, turn it off. Replace cover and reconnect any external devices. This came from here: Gateway Support...
