Hello and welcome to PCHelpForum.
A little more information would help. Is this a computer or a laptop? Make and model number would help also. Why is there now CD rom drive? Are you able to fit one? JB.

it is a laptop,its a compaq contura 430c,it did not come with a cd-drive ,it has a floppy ,and a 400 mb hard drive it`s a real old one I dont think it will even hold win95 but thats the smallest operating system I have available,is it possible to load win95 using floppy disks?

 has it go anything on the laptop from memory on compaqs of that age they put a copy for the windows in this folder c:\windows\options\cabs has it got that folder in the hard drive?
