what is the part i need to buy?

at you PC shop you should be able to get a USB 3.5 Inch drive enclosure or a converter to convert the 3.5 inch iterface to IDE I have both. Once you get it plug the hard drive into a desktop pc copy the windows 95 cabs folder of the cd to the hard drive and install windows from ther once the drive is back in the laptop.

yes i still need help! i`m trying to do a network install ,how do i find I.P address on laptop under dos? i have a pcmia network card connected to my pc via lan port

What state is your laptop in now?
if you can get to DOS type
