Solved: Windows 98 question

Hello.
I need some guidance on a windows PC matter. My old DOS laptop PC failed the gravity stress test. I have a few Dell Latitude CPi laptops, with windows XP Pro. What is the possibility of using WipeDrive, and simply installing a free download copy of the windows 98 operating system? I really only need the DOS for loading software information, in to land mobile radio products. I do use windows in the same arena.
I have used this scenario with a desk top Compaq computer. Wiping the drive and using the origional Windows 98 quick restore CD. I hope there is a solution for the laptop also. Regards.

Yes diffinatley can load windows 98 on Dell Latitude CPi boot off windows 98 CD format the drive and install 98 you may have to download some driver.

Just do not over do it with the wipe drive . I have a 80GB that I used a wipe drive on and over did it . You will then get an error message no harddrive installed.
If that happens you can go to the dealer of the wipe drive to have it fixed. But it can cost $$ .
So if you are the only one using it running the wipe drive once will clean it for reloading.
