Default Re: DOS set-up

Hey leiryll, welcome to PCHF.

It depends on how you would like it setup, and what applictions you want to run.

- If you wish to install it on a brand new PC, or re-install it on an old one, you can download DOS 6.22 from here: http://files.frashii.com/~bootdisk/t...ee/622-514.exe. (You'll require 5 blank floppy disks to install the setup files to).

If you already have Windows installed on the PC, Windows already has a form of DOS you can use by going to Start, and type in cmd. Press [ALT] + [ENTER] to switch to full screen mode.

If you want to run MS-DOS and Windows on the same PC, then you'll need an additional partition or disk you can install MS-DOS to.

And finally, you can also access MS-DOS from a single floppy disk using this download: http://files.frashii.com/~bootdisk/t...ee/boot98c.exe

It's really depends on what you want to use MS-DOS for and what your trying to acheive.

EDIT: Marked as Answered.
