Cool Is there any driver for SATA AHCI Support for Win98SE?

I am thinking about installing 98SE on a new laptop. It is an HP Pavilion dv 6568se with a SATA AHCI Intel 82801 HEM/HBM controller. (2GB mem-200GB HD) After much time, I managed to install XP Pro SP2 on one partition. (SP3 refuses to complete the install before a BSoD 0x0000007B error) I have the intel matrix driver & installed it via USB floppy. I am going to leave Vista Premium on the C: drive and am going to install Ubuntu on one partition which already has SATA drivers on the ISO. I wanted to install also 98SE and DOS 6.22, if it is possible. Searching the net provided no answers for either OS.
Is it possible to install these antiquated OS on this laptop?

Hi
There is no way your going to be able to buy Windows 98SE or DOS 6.6 as they were cancelled years ago you can search on EBAY for one.

If you do have one then if the partition is formatted as FAT or FAT16/32 then you should be able to install.

EathanElf agrees: I have both disks. I used acronis to make a FAT16 and a FAT32. Can the native disks access the SATA drive on thier own? If not is there a way to use the controller drivers I used for XP Pro? Thanks for your input. <:o)

Yes, I have them both already. Just didn't know if win98SE or DOS 6.22 could talk to my SATA AHCI drive since XP Pro SP2 required 3rd party drivers before I could install it. I figured if XP didn't have them, how could the other two?
Thanks for the input tho.

I don't know about that...

Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition
SATA support from '98-- now that's a whole 'nother problem-- SATA did not exist then...

Question Re: Is there any driver for SATA AHCI Support for Win98SE?

I am pretty sure it would work if there were drivers available to get those OS to recognize the SATA; but that is the question: does such a thing exist? What about the DOS? That seems like an impossiblity tho. It isn't mandatory for me to have them, but with DOS I can access the HD regardless of whats going on with windows. The only reason I want 98SE is to be able to help people with dinosaurs. I am only spending 1GB for DOS and 2GB for 98SE so if I can get them to work it would help me out. FAT16 for DOS and FAT32 for win98 is what I formated those partitions to. I guess for Ubuntu I need to format it to linux swap file? Or does that run on ntfs or FAT32? I am finally taking the plunge to learn Linux. Had to work on an ancient Linux system that took the place of UNIX on some LANS with 20 year old systems. Old linux is way different than the newer versions with GUI's.
Any help on any above issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to those who have already tried to help me out.

Be careful when installing Ubuntu-- don't get me wrong... it's a great OS--
BUT ... it tends to install Grub --the linux boot manager-- which is rather "intrusive"... to put it mildly.

Go here first:

Ubuntu Forums

they have a whole "absolute beginners" section-- a section for Mac users... installation + upgrades advice... very helpful folks-- not that we are not helpful... but when one starts dual/triple-booting with PC's-- things can get hairy.

Another very useful app --though it,too requires some study... will allow you to boot as many OSes as you wish-- I think the "record" is approx 40?
The thing is-- it's a boot manager that works outside of Windows --or any OS ... so it takes a little reading to get used to first
