Question Re: Is there any driver for SATA AHCI Support for Win98SE?

Iv'e looked everywhere for drivers for 98SE & DOS6.22. Just wonder if such a thing exists. That seagate page is for older chipsets tho. I have a Toshiba MK2035GSS, but their site and searching several search engines result in nothing usable. If anybody can find something that will work I'd appreciate it. (I guess I'm the only one on Earth that is stubborn enough to try to put old windows 98SE & DOS6.22 on a SATA drive.) ------------------------------------------
I'll do some reading on Ubuntu & Grub & that boot manager. (I'm not too impressed with Acronis Boot program tho...I prefer the simple DOS like text.)
Is there perhaps a better linux to use? I know there are different ones available, but From what I observed so far it seems like Ubuntu does alot of the work for you if you aren't familiar with the newer linux OS.
& anybody know why SP3 gives a Blue Screens of Death on final reboot? SP2 worked just fine.

Thanks for all of the attempts to help me. Maybe trying to install ancinet old OS's is in vain.....I could try to boot those from a firewire hard drive but I'll need a converter as the firewires connector is twice as big as the place to plug it in to laptop.

I've had no problems with SP3 period.
Ubuntu is more "windows-like" with many auto features--
depends on what you like-- if you prefer the command-line type of interface--perhaps one of the many distros out there ...? You should not need to pay...

There is Knoppix ...which is bootable directly from a CD-rom-- so you can try without installing.
