I thought about installing Windows ME onto a Computer of mine, then, I heard it was bed. Is that true or is it a Rumor? Thx!

i used to use it and found it good,but now doing a fresh install is not good as there is no support from Microsoft.
it might be worth a look around perhaps some companys might do the updates.
its my personal opinion that xp pro is a good all rounder as it will be supported till 2012/2014.
and it finds drivers for some old pci cards even stuff that worked on win 98.

Picks up ME and burns on barbie.

You are correct. Windows ME was the most buggy and unstable (worst) OS Microsoft ever made. And they even admitted it. I recommend Windows 2000 professional if it is an older computer.

Yes ME really is the worst Operating System by Microsoft. I'd recommend Windows XP over Windows 2000 if possible.

Def Win2k over ME, I had ME on my laptop and it lost all it's drivers leaving me with no internet or sound and having to cope with a 640x480 resolution with 256 colors

I love 2000 personally for older computers. It runs it nice and fast and well. XP on an old computer if not configured down quite a bit (basically to 2000) is just plain out slow and no one likes that.

interesting perhaps im the only one to get it to work and like it,would agree that win 2k is better.
might start a ME appreciation the thread.
also i used go back with it as system restore was hopeless on it.
it was my introduction to the world of bill gates,mabee thats why im losing my hair.
