I use to have Win98 computer. I was writing a book using Microsoft Works. For some reason, I compressed the drive and my file, which is now on a 3.5 floppy disk. I had lost my floppy disk with part of my book on it, and just recently found it. But when I put my disk in XP it comes up with the DRVSPACE.000 file on my floppy. I really need to find a way to get this file in a readable file. Does anyone know of a way for me to make this file so I can read it using XP? I don't have access to a Win98 computer and don't of anyone that has one I could use. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

To recover data in the unmounted Drvspace.000 CVF in the root folder of the floppy disk, use the following steps: 1.Click the Start button, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click DriveSpace. 2.Click the drive letter of the inserted floppy. 3.On the Advanced menu, click Mount. 4.Copy the data from the compressed floppy disk to a folder on the hard disk. 5.On Advanced menu, click Unmount.

Hi and thanks for your help. I am using XP Home Edition and I don't have Drive Space listed under System Tools. I forgot to mention that I had XP HE. Sorry. Got any more suggestions for me? I sure hope so...Thanks again..
