hi guyes i know this is very common problem for all PCs ,but i really need help
i download the fixntldr ISO image .......and do as they describe but nothing happened

could any one please tell me step by step procedure ..........how do i fix this problem

What operating system are you running?

Did you get this error after reinstalling the operating system?

actually it was win 98 .........
it says it failuer to read cd- rom

Ok boot disks are normaly used by downloading and save the file then put it to floppy disk not to CD rom.

Did this occure when you were trying to reinstall win 98?

Do you have the win 98 floppy boot disk?

It usaly comes supplied with PC/Laptop with a CD to.


Go into BIOS,reboot PC/Laptop,when it starts up you should see on screen press ? to enter setup.This is usaly F1/F2/ or Dell.

Go to boot tab and set first boot to floppy drive put in win 98 bootable floppy F10 to save and exit.

actually the other computer i'm using is win XP and it don't have floppy drive slot that's why i have to burn it in to CD
please let me know, is any thing else i can do

Were you installing windows 98?

Did the PC just crash,stop working?

If you were trying to install win 98 or repair it?You need the floppy disk and CD that you use to install it.

With say XP you usaly only need a CD.
